Distribution pattern
With patchy and dispersed distribution throughout the country, more densely along the Black Sea coast, the Eastern Rhodopes, the central part of the Danubian Plain, Lomovete and the valley of Suha Reka in Dobrudzha, the Sofia Field and the adjacent mountain areas, the valleys of the rivers Struma and Mesta, and other hilly areas and low mountains.

Habitats
Breeds mainly in hotter and dryer places in temperate heath and scrub, in particular in the shrubs growing in lower altitudes like Paliurus spina – Christi, Rosa sp., Crataegus monogina and other species, sometimes in Sclerophyllous scrub with Juniperus oxycedrus, Carpinus orientalis, Rubus sp., etc. Found also in areas covered with bushes within towns, villages and industrial zones.
