Distribution pattern
With almost ubiquitous distribution throughout the country except for middle and high parts of the mountains.

Habitats
Breeds most often in hollows in old trees in various habitats: strips of trees, hedges and patches of them; especially along rivers, in sparse forests with hollow trees, sometimes in old orchards, bush and tree plantations, in alluvial and riverine forests and brush. In rocky areas, often breeds in holes on inland cliffs and exposed rocks. Sometimes breeds in single abandoned buildings, ruins and even inhabited buildings in towns, villages and industrial zones, sometimes breeds in yards or in big public parks and large gardens, especially in the outskirts of the settlements.
