Distribution pattern
With patchy and dispersed distribution throughout the country, denser in the plains and semi-mountainous areas with predominant arable land and larger settlements. It is absent or poorly represented in the mountains and in lowland areas with forests, as well as in a number of other, seemingly suitable for breeding, areas in the Danubian plain, the Thracian Plain, etc.

Habitats
Breeds mainly in towns, villages and industrial zones, to a less extent in cavities in inland cliffs and exposed rocks, caves and steep seashores, as an exception – in public parks and gardens, where it nests in tree hollows. In the settlements – in chimneys and openings in the roof structures of old buildings. Preferred are also attics of new residential and industrial buildings.
