Distribution pattern
With patchy and dispersed distribution, denser in the higher parts of Rila and Central Stara Planina, with more distant breeding sites in the Western Rhodopes, Vitosha, Slavyanka and Pirin. Due to the specifics in the distribution and the methods for locating the species, the existence of unknown breeding grounds is possible.
