On May 24, 1993 at the marsh near the camping Europe, (west from Pomorie) a male bird was seen, keeping to the area. In 1998, information was received for probable breeding at Durankulak Lake. On May 20, 2002, one pair was observed in the Zvanitchevo fishponds. On June 08, 2005, one pair was also seen in Srebarna Lake.
