Distribution pattern
Mainly in Southern Bulgaria, densely covering the Rila – Rhodopes Massif, Vitosha, Sofia and Central Stara Planina, and dispersed in the Thracian Plain, Eastern Stara Planina, the Western frontier mountains, Sakar, etc. In Northern Bulgaria, the species can be found as far as the Danube River.

Habitats
Breeds in towns, villages and industrial zones. Apart from the central parts of large and small towns and villages, it also breeds in small mountain resorts and on single buildings (especially cabins) in and above the coniferous belt in the mountains, often at high altitudes.
