Distribution pattern

Distributed almost everywhere in the country, with the exception of the high mountain zones over the tree lines and some treeless lowlands of the Danubian plain, the Thracian Plain, the Burgas lowland, etc.

Habitats

Breeds mainly in more humid broad – leaved deciduous forests with rich undergrowth and shrubs, in temperate heath and scrub (especially those in humid ravines and small valleys), also in alluvial and riverine forests and brush. It is less common in mixed forests and in coniferous forests. In places numerous in strips of trees, shrubs and mosaics of them, especially in their denser parts, in overgrown with bushes orchards, tree and bush plantations, in public parks and large gardens and in other parts of towns, villages, and industrial zones.
