Distribution pattern
With almost ubiquitous distribution throughout the country, except for the high and more consistently forested parts of the mountains.

Habitats
Breeds in a wide range of habitats. Mainly in tree hollows, buildings and other constructions in settlements, in public parks and gardens, in hollows in strips of trees, shrubs and mosaics of them, in sparse old broad-leaved deciduous forests, orchards, tree and shrub plantations, as well as in concrete and metal poles, single trees and buildings, bridges, walls and other anthropogenic structures in open agricultural areas. It also builds nests in loess and other earthen walls, on cliffs and exposed rocks.
