Distribution pattern
Dispersed over the whole territory of the country in both plains and in higher parts of the mountains. More dense distribution along the valleys of most of the larger rivers, as well as along the whole Northern Black Sea coast (including Dobrudzha), in the Eastern Rhodopes, the hilly areas around the Tundzha River, the Northern part of the Danubian Plain, the Eastern Stara Planina, etc.

Habitats
Breeds in broad-leaved deciduous forests, coniferous forests and alluvial and riverine forests and brush, in strips of trees, shrubs, and patches of them, often along rivers.
