Distribution pattern
With broad fragmented distribution all over the country with the exception of the higher typically forested areas in the mountains, the altitudinal zones above them and some parts of the Danubian Plain and the Thracian Plain with mainly agricultural lands.

Habitats
Breeds in temperate heath and scrub and sclerophyllous scrub, in highly sparse broad-leaved deciduous forests or on their edges, sometimes in orchards, in tree and shrub plantations, strips of trees, shrubs and patches of them.
