In the last 10 years, there have been no observations during the breeding period. Individual specimens are found during the winter.

Habitats
Observations of the species are in open steppes and dry calcareous grasslands, wide waste lands, and to less extend – in improved grasslands (perennial grass crops) (alfalfa fields) and other (annual) grass crops.
