Distribution pattern
Distributed almost throughout the country with the exception of some predominantly agricultural areas with limited forest areas (the western part of the Danubian Plain, the Thracian Plain, the Burgas Plain, etc.).

Habitats
Breeds exclusively in denser forests from the coast to the alpine zone – in coniferous forests, broad-leaved deciduous forests, mixed forests, alluvial and riverine forests and brush, sometimes in larger strips of trees, shrubs and mosaics of them, including along rivers, in older orchards, tree and shrub plantations, as well as in large forest type parks outside or in settlements.
