Distribution pattern
With patchy and dispersed distribution in both plains and mountains throughout the country. More dense along the Black Sea coast, along the Danube River and Western Stara Planina.

Habitats
Breeds in broad – leaved deciduous forests, in alluvial and riverine forests and brush, as well as in public parks and large gardens with abundant vegetation. As an exception is found in coniferous forests.
