Distribution pattern
With patchy and dispersed distribution in all lower and treeless areas, more densely populated in the northern and eastern part of the country. Absent from the forested areas in the middle and high parts of the mountains.

Habitats
Breeds in open areas and pastures with scattered rare trees and shrubs or small artificial plantations among them; edges of deciduous forests bordering pastures; in strips of old roadside trees along roads, along rivers and in shelter belts, orchards, tree and bush plantations, especially in abandoned vineyards, etc. Inhabits large areas with cereals and areas with extensive agriculture, including improved grasslands (perennial grasses), wastelands, found in the outskirts of towns, villages and industrial areas.
