Distribution pattern
With dispersed distribution in the lowlands of the whole country. More grouped in neighbouring squares in places along the Black Sea coast and along the Danube River.

Habitats
Breeds exclusively in bogs and marshes, in water – fringe vegetation and fens, transition mires and springs, favouring extensive reed beds, mainly in wetlands with standing fresh waters, but also in seaside lakes, marshes and fishponds.
